Jawan hurt, intruder nabbed

JAMMU, June 20: An Army jawan was injured today in a mine blast along Line of Control (LoC) near Post Manwari in Mandi Sabjian area.
During patrolling along LoC in Sabjian forward belt of Poonch district, Lance Naik Harpal Singh of 3 Grenadiers accidentally stepped on a mine, resulting into injuries to his left leg.
The injured jawan was shifted by air to Brigade Hospital, Srinagar, where his condition is stated to be stable, sources said.
Meanwhile, BSF today arrested a Pakistani intruder from Indo-Pak border in Kathua district.
Alert BSF jawans nabbed the elderly person on noticing his suspicious movements near the border fencing inside the Indian territory in Pahadpur forward area last night, they said.
He was identified as Anwar Hussain from Pakistan.
