MENDHAR, May 7: An Army jawan was injured while mishandling of his loaded service rifle at a post near the LoC in Mendhar sub sector of Poonch this afternoon.
Police sources said that Sepoy Amar Veer Singh of 21 Punjab sustained bullet injury on his right hand when his service gun went off accidently. He was rushed to nearby Unit hospital and then shifted to Military Hospital, Rajouri. The Army authorities ordered an inquiry into the matter.
