An Army jawan was tonight killed in a mine blast at Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch district.
He has been identified as Lance Naik Rakesh Kumar of 3 Grenadiers.
Reports said the jawan was part of Road Opening Party (ROP), which was patrolling forward areas on the LoC at KG sector tonight. The jawan stepped over a mine leading to a powerful explosion, which led to his death on spot.
Body of the jawan has been evacuated from the spot and shifted to a military installation. The body would be sent to his native town tomorrow morning.
