JAMMU, July 29: An Army jawan was killed in sniper fire by Pakistan army in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district this evening.
The killed Army jawan has been identified as Rashpal Singh.
Official sources said a sniper shot fired by the Pakistan army personnel from their forward post hit Army jawan Rashpal Singh, who was manning a post in Krishna Ghati sector along the Line of Control (LoC) this evening. The jawan was hit by the bullet.
Army jawans evacuated the injured and shifted him to the hospital, were he succumbed to his injures.
Sources said the ceasefire violation by Pakistan army was completely unprovoked.
