Jay Z’s ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ tops Billboard album Chart

LOS ANGELES, July 18: Rapper Jay Z’s latest album “Magna Carta Holy Grail” debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart yesterday, while besting industry forecasts. “Magna Carta Holy Grail” sold 528,000 copies in its first week, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan, making it the second-best debut week for an album this year behind Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience.”

Hollywood studios cater to comic convention’s savvy fans
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) Once a hotbed for avid fans of cult comic and fantasy genres, San Diego’s Comic-Con has become an important stop for film studios and directors looking to gauge the responses of the convention’s savvy audience. Gareth Edwards, director of Warner Bros.’ 2014 film “Godzilla,” who made his first trip to Comic-Con last year to discuss possibly rebooting the monster movies, said audience reaction helped get the film approved for  production.
