JAMMU, Nov 17: Jayanti Kundal, mother of B R Kundal, former Power Minister and Chief Secretary and presently MLC and Dr Vijay Kundal, Associate Professor, Medicines Department in Government Medical College, Jammu, passed away early this morning at her residence.
She was 85 and is survived by five brothers and two daughters.
Her three other sons included VS Kundal, retired SP, Devinder Kundal, Executive Engineer and Vinod Kundal, Assistant Conservator of Forests.
She was cremated at Jogi Gate cremation ground at 3 pm today. A large number of prominent political leaders, bureaucrats, former bureaucrats, medical fraternity, traders people from various walks of life attended cremation of Mrs Kundal and expressed condolences with the bereaved family members.
Mrs Jayanti Kundal was married to later Beli Ram Kundal of village Vyaspur Parla in RS Pura tehsil.
