Jayesh raises crime concerns with DIG JSK Range

JAMMU, Mar 16: Social activist Jayesh Gupta met with Shiv Kumar Sharma, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) range, here to discuss the growing crime rate in region.
A statement said, during the meeting, Jayesh presented a memorandum highlighting concerns about the increasing incidents of robberies, drug abuse, and sex rackets in the region.
He urged law enforcement to take swift and effective action to tackle these issues and restore public trust in security measures.
Jayesh expressed particular concern over the rising involvement of youth in criminal activities, pointing out the negative impact on individuals, families, and the community at large.
He stressed that the situation requires immediate intervention to prevent further societal harm.
The activist called for a comprehensive approach to crime prevention, including community policing, drug rehabilitation programs, and awareness campaigns to educate young people about the dangers of illegal activities.
In response, DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma assured Jayesh that law enforcement agencies would intensify efforts to address the issue.
He promised that immediate measures would be taken to dismantle criminal networks operating in the region and restore law and order in Jammu and Kashmir.
