JAMMU, Dec 5: A two-day strike programme has been announced by the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of State Government employees, throughout the State on December 14 and 15.
Talking to media-persons here today, senior members of the JCC Mohd Gafoor Dar, Kulwant Singh and Ganesh Khajuria said that district-wise campaign of the JCC leadership remained successful in the region here. They said tremendous response has been received from the employees from various Government Departments and the Public Sector Undertakings.
They claimed that JCC has announced ‘Kam Chorh Hartal’ on December 14-15 and in all the three regions of the State, employees would struck work. The Government has totally failed to address the pending demands of the employees which included enhancement of retirement age of the employees, regularization of daily rated, consolidated and ad hoc workers, removal of pay anomalies and provide budgetary support to Public Sector Corporations. They strongly condemned the delaying tactics of the State Government which has miserably failed to implement the agreement despite repeated assurances.
Mr Dar disclosed that JCC will hold protest demonstration tomorrow (Dec 6) outside the office of Divisional Commissioner, Rail Head Complex here. A memorandum will be submitted to the Government through the Divisional Commissioner. They appealed the employees to join the protest programme and make it a grand success.
