JCC Bank earns profit of Rs 10 cr during 2012-13

SRINAGAR, May 24: Jammu Central Cooperative (JCC) Bank Limited earned a profit of Rs 10 crore approximately during the financial year 2012-13, said Mohinder Singh, chairman, JCC Bank, Jammu while apprising the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah about the working of the Bank.
Singh who called on CM today, apprised him that JCC Bank is a century old Bank and is presently providing banking facilities in the whole Jammu province through the network of its 89 branches and 16 Extension Counters.
It was apprised to the CM that JCC is the only Provincial Level Bank in the Cooperative Sector, which is catering to the need of 10 districts of Jammu Province and the people from all walks of life.
“The Bank is providing credit facilities to the farming community through the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Credit Societies as well as directly through Kissan Credit Cards (KCCs) and till date it has issued 31704 KCCs amounting to Rs 42.52 crore, which is the highest number of KCCs issued by any Bank in the State”, said JCC Bank’s chairman.
He informed the Chief Minister that the Bank is contemplating to provide On Line Service to the clientele of the Bank during the current financial year by introducing Core Banking Solutions, as per the requirement of Reserve Bank of India and NABARD.
Omar gave a patient hearing to the chairman, appreciated the working of the Bank and assured to provide all possible help to the Cooperative Banks in the State.
