JCC performs Yagnopavit of 10 Kashmiri boys

JAMMU, Oct 22: Samohik Yagnopavit ceremony of 10 displaced Pandit boys was performed by Jagti Coordination Committee (JCC) today.
The decision of performing the samohik ceremonies was taken by JCC to provide relief to those displaced families who are not in a position to bear the expenses of performing such ceremonies individually.
The JCC leaders Ravi Jutshi, Sanjay Raina and Dilip Ji said that in future they will also organize such programmes for the relief of the needy migrant families so that they can perform the religious rituals of their children without spending a huge amount.
They said the JCC besides the Samohik Yagnopavit ceremonies will also launch a social movement as it is devising ways and means of performing dowry less marriages in the community as the same is the need of hour. The JCC has sought cooperation of entire community in its mission and it said the beginning will be made from Jagti township.
