JCC seeks release of DA, regularization of DRWs

JAMMU, Jan 16: The State Government Employees Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) has urged upon Governor N N Vohra to release pending two DA installments of employees and pensioners and issue orders of regularization of Daily Rated Workers ( DRWs) after framing new policy.
The JCC members in a meeting held at Civil Secretariat under the leadership of JCC convenor Rouf Ahmed Bhat, urged upon the Governor to release two pending DA installments of 10 % and & 7 % in favour of State employees and pensioners. The members also discussed the issues of the employees related to removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and others, implementation of 6th Pay Commission in favour of remaining Public Sector organizations by providing budgetary support, regularization of daily rated workers, contractual/ consolidated and casual workers and enhancement of Medical Allowance to Rs 1000 per month.
It was also appealed to the State Governor to personally look into the matter so that the agreement carried out between representatives of JCC and the former State Government led by Omar Abdullah is honoured without any further delay. Mr Bhat also appealed all the employees to remain united for their common cause.
Prominent among others present in the meeting included Balwinder Singh, Ravi Singh Bhau, Amrik Singh, Dharminder Singh, Avtar Krishan, Surat Singh Toofani, Moulvi Muneer, Ravinder Singh, Vikas Gupta, B S Pinka and Amrik Singh Chib.
