JCCI president calls on Ram Madhav

JAMMU, Oct 8: President, Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) today called upon Ram Madhav, National general secretary of the BJP, at his official residence in New Delhi and briefed him about the ground situation in J&K.
The issues relating to economy, development and security were also discussed. The Chamber president requested Ram Madhav to pay a visit to the Chamber House on his next visit to the State so that the Chamber members could apprise him of the problems being faced by the Trade and the Industry, especially post implementation of GST.
The Chamber president conveyed to Ram Madhav that the planned incentives to the Industries in the J&K were not enough and the State should have got the same bundle of incentives as was being given to the North Eastern States.
He also brought into his notice the Chamber’s demands of abolition of Toll Tax at Lakhanpur post after implementation of GST, resumption of abandoned works for Artificial Lake on River Tawi, sanctioning of Mother Industries for Jammu & Kashmir, deportation of Rohingyas , better health care facilities, resumption of LoC trade from Poonch , GST issues, tourism promotion, Master Plan and many other issues of importance.
Ram Madhav assured the Chamber president that J&K was very close to his heart and the Central leadership of BJP and the State coalition Government shall do all possible efforts for peace, progress and prosperity and development of all the three regions equitably. He also assured that all the genuine concerns of the Chamber shall be taken up on his next visit to the State soon.
