JCMS to felicitate students on Hans Raj Mahajan’s 149th birth anniversary

JAMMU, Oct 13: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS), Shalamar Road is going to felicitate the meritorious students of Mahajan community on the 149th birth anniversary of “Sher-e-Duggar” Hans Raj Mahajan on November 8.
This was stated by Vinod Gupta, President, JCMS, during a press conference here today. He was accompanied by Chander Mohan Gupta, general secretary and other prominent members of the Mahajan community including Om Parkash Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Yash Paul Gupta, Krishan Lal, Vijay Gupta, Ram Charan Gupta, Ved Gupta, CP Gupta, Shiv Partap Gupta, etc.
Vinod Gupta stated that JCMS is going to celebrate the 149th birth anniversary of “Sher-e-Duggar” Hans Raj Mahajan on November 8 at Mahajan Bhawan, Shalamar Road.
He added that all the meritorious students of Mahajan community who have secured 95 per cent and above marks in class 10th and 12th examination conducted by the J&K Board of School Education or from Central Board of School Education (CBSC) or secured first, second or third positions in Graduation or Post Graduate level including professional courses like MBBS, MD, MS, BDS or Engineering Courses conducted by the Jammu University (results declared during the year 2015) will be honoured.
He added that students/persons of the Mahajan community, who have qualified in different field from October 2014 to ending September 2015 including IAS/KAS, MPhil, PhD, sports, persons honoured in any field by the Government and Autono-mous bodies, employees selected and participated at the International forums and boys who have performed ideal marriages without dowry during the current year will also be honoured.
He asked all the eligible candidates and persons to inform the JCMS, Shalamar Road in writing alongwith latest documentary proof by or before October 25.
Gupta further stated that JCMS is also conducting painting competition on November 6 at its premises amongst the students of primary and middle standard. The selected students will also be honoured. Desiring students may get themselves enrolled on or before October 25, he said.
“In order to get feedback from the parents/parties who have registered the particulars of their wards for suitable alliance with the offices of Marriage Bureaus at Mahajan Sabha, Shalamar Road/ Sabzi Mandi, JCMS is organizing “Bandhan Mela” (Parivaar Milan) at JCMS, Shalamar Road on November 5 from 4 pm to 6 pm”, Vinod added.
