POONCH, Jan 15: A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), died of heart attack in forward location of Mankote in Mendhar sector this morning.
Official sources said that incident took place when the Naib Subedar , Narender Singh of 5 Mahar Regiment, hailing from Dehradun, was on duty near the LoC. He suddenly fell down and turned unconscious.
He was rushed to nearby Army unit hospital where he was declared as dead. Later, his body was shifted to SDH Mendhar where police after performing legal formalities, handed over the body to the Unit officials.
