JAMMU, Oct 16: On the directions of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu, anti-encroachment drive was carried out in Transport Nagar by Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
Vice Chairperson JDA Sushma Chauhan deputed Ravi Bharti, Director Land Management to carry out the drive. He was accompanied by Chief Khilafwarzi Officer and other staff of JDA. Police party from Narwal Police Post headed by SI Inayat Ali also assisted the team.
During the drive, more than 250 kiosks were removed in the upper area of yard number 6, Transport Nagar. Cranes, earthmovers and tippers were used in the operation.
The representatives of Transport Nagar Welfare Association also assisted the JDA officials and the police.
