JAMMU, Apr 16: In compliance with the High Court orders and on direction of Vice-Chairman Vikas Sharma, the Revenue wing of the Jammu Development Authority conducted surprise visit and stopped several illegal commercial constructions in Channi Rama, Bye Pass, Qasim Nagar and other areas.
Illegal commercial construction by M/s New Motor Works near Wave Mall, another State land opposite Malik Market Masjid, Channi Rama were stopped and notice was served to Shuhul Motors at National Highway Bye Pass road for constructing showroom on residential land. Similarly, illegal commercial construction over plot number 240, 241 and 242 over JDA land in residential areas, including New Bahui Fort Colony, Qasim Nagar were also stopped.
The JDA drive was undertaken by Shruti Bhardwaj (Tehsildar Bahu), Samridhi Sharma (Tehsildar Marh), Arjun Singh (Naib Tehsildar JDA), Sartaj Singh and Ishtiaq Patwari, under the close supervison of Sanjay Gupta, Director Land Management JDA.
