JDA employees to go on strike

JAMMU, Mar 19: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Employees Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Ashok Singh Jamwal.
In the meeting, it was decided by the participants to go on strike from March 22 for three working days as their demands are not fulfilled despite assurance by the higher officers.
Jamwal highlighted the demands including regularization of consolidated, contractual, casual and daily rated workers, who had completed seven years of their service, grade to the helpers, 10 per cent quota of plots and quarters to the JDA employees in newly carved out colonies, enhancement in FTA for the field staff and major steps to safeguard the already established JDA colonies in Roop Nagar, Birpur, Kot Bhawal and Gole Gujral.
