JDA employees suspend strike

JAMMU,  Aug 22: Jammu Development Authority Employees Union which was on protest dharna and fast unto death strike for the last 15 days today suspended their agitation on the assurance of  Vice Chairman  and the Secretary JDA.
Today the VC, SE and Secretary JDA moved to the dharna site and offered a glass of juice to the Union president  Ashok Singh  and agreed to accept their  two demands.  They also sought two weeks time from the Union in this connection.
The Union president later told the media that strike has been suspended on the assurance of the VC and other senior officers.  He said Union’s  indefinite fast unto death strike ended today and from tomorrow the workers/ employees will resume their normal work.
