JDA Employees’ Union discusses demands

JAMMU, Feb 2: JDA Employees’ Union today discussed demands in its meeting held here under the chairmanship of Union president, Ashok Singh Jamwal.
The demands discussed in the meeting included regularization of consolidated, contractual and casual/daily rated workers who have completed seven years of service, appointment of the dependent of the deceased employee under SRO-43 even when they are engaged as casual labour/daily rated worker or consolidated.
The meeting also sought grade for the helpers, 10% quota of plots/quarters to the JDA employees in newly carved out colonies, enhancement in FTA for field staff and initiation of major steps to safe guard the JDA colonies already established in Roop Nagar, Birpur, Kot Bhalwal and Gole Gujral.
