JAMMU, Aug 21: JDA Employees and Workers Union today extended full support to the Vice-Chairman R K Shavan in the ongoing developmental works and drive against the land mafia.
In a meeting of the Union held under the chairmanship of its president Rajinder Kumar, it was decided that all out support will be given to the Vice-Chairman in ensuring timely completion of ongoing developmental works and taking the drive against the land mafia to the logical conclusion.
“It is because of efforts of the present Vice-Chairman that huge land worth several hundred crores of rupees has been retrieved from the encroachers and it becomes responsibility of each and every employee to extend him full cooperation”, the Union said.
The Union expressed concern over ongoing strike by certain employees and termed the same as illegal especially when the Vice-Chairman has constituted different committees to look into the grievances of all sections of employees of the JDA. “It seems that these employees are being misled by some vested interests especially after recent transfers made by the VC with the sole objective of ensuring smooth and transparent working”, the Union added.
Among others the meeting was attended by Ravinder Koul, Sushil Sharma, Pardeep Sadhotra, Subash Chander and Kamal Dubey.
