JDA removes encroachments

JAMMU, May 17: In its intensified drive against encroachments the enforcement wing of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) retrieved 4 kanal of priceless land, which was under occupation of land-encroachers in Khasra Number 781 in village Deeli for more than 20 years.
Unauthorised wooden, Kachha structures and compound wall were removed on spot. The operation was conducted on the directions of Vice Chairman, Satish Nehru under the supervision of Director Land Management S Jatinder Singh and the team comprised of Chief Khilafwarzi Officer Ashok Sharma and Khilafwarzi Officer S Narinder Singh along with the other field staff.
In yet another drive the JDA removed encroachment from Yard 6 and 7 of Transport Nagar where more than 50 encroachments were removed from the pavements and material dumped on roads was cleared.
The JDA has also warned the concerned to desist from encroaching the paths and roads. The drive will continue and the material confiscated and fine imposed on those violating the law.
