JDA removes encroachments

JAMMU, June 6: Taking swift action against the encroacher as part of anti encroachment drive, Jammu Development Authority  removed the encroachments in village Channi Rama Khasra No.328, Trikuta Nagar Housing Colony and  in village Udheywala and got fenced JDA land in village Chack Changarwan.
In village Channi Rama, Khasra No.328, some unidentified encroacher had  encroached upon  JDA land by way of raising compound wall,  over it, which was  demolished  by the field staff on spot.
In village Udhaywalla,  some one had constructed soakage pit/ pacca tank over JDA land, which was demolished/refilled. Illegal construction of Kaccha/Pacca structure on a JDA plot in Sector No.2, Trikuta Nagar was also removed and the said piece of land was recommended for auction. Moreover, an encroachment over JDA land has been removed in village Chack Changwarwan, Khasra No. 92.  The same was also got fenced by engineering wing of JDA.
The anti-encroachment drive was launched on the directions of Vice Chairman JDA while  the Enforcement Wing of JDA, under the supervision of Vinay Samotra,  Secretary/ Director Land Management JDA comprising of Chief Khilafwarzi Officer Narinder Singh, Pankaj Singh Sambyal Khilafwarzi Officer, Khilafwarzi Inspectors Parshotam Kumar, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Naresh Kumar, field staff  along with revenue team headed by S  Jagjit Singh Jaggi Girdwar and  S  Sartaj Singh, Patwai JDA, took part in the  drive.
