JDA removes encroachments, stops unauthorized constructions

JAMMU, Feb 21: Taking cognizance of unauthorized constructions and encroachments, Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has removed encroachments and stopped the un-authorized constructions being raised in violation in the jurisdiction of JDA limits.
As part of anti- encroachments drive on the direction of Mubarak Singh, Vice Chairman JDA, Enforcement Team headed by Dr Gurvinderjeet Singh, Director Land Management comprising of Tarsem Lal, Tehsildar JDA Zone (A), Narinder Singh, Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Pankaj Singh Sambyal, Khilafwarzi Officer, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Parshotam Kumar, Booti Singh, Romesh Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Balbir Singh and Girdhari Lal Pandita, Khilafwarzi Inspectors including revenue and field staff removed encroachments which were raised over JDA land in shape of plinth and compound wall on edge of nallah by some unscrupulous element in village Gurha Brahmana, Keran. At Bhagwati Nagar, a structure and commercial establishment raised over JDA land was removed by the Enforcement Team.
The Enforcement Wing also conducted an extensive tour of village Bhagwati Nagar, Gole Gujral, Santra Morh, Pouni Chak, Sari, Akalpur, Lower Muthi, Udheywalla, Chinnore, Kerran and Lower Thattar and stopped on spot number of un-authorized constructions being constructed by local people in violation of BOCA without seeking building permission from JDA, for which notices under the Control of Building Operation Act (COBA) will be served to the defaulters.
Meanwhile, JDA appealed to all head of business establishments and offices, housed in Rail Head Complex area to direct their working staff, officers, officials, employees and commuters to park their vehicle in JDA Free Parking Slot at RHC to decongest the road traffic mobility and help in making the area accident free, otherwise JDA will take action against the defaulters, whose vehicles will found parked unauthorized on road side without any further warning.
