JDA retrieves land from encroachers

JAMMU, Nov 11: The enforcement wing of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) headed by Director Land Management today retrieved two and half kanal of land from the encroachers at village Paloura.
The land was being encroached by Prahlad Singh and others at village Paloura, opposite Sector number 2 Aap Shambu Road, Roop Nagar.
The encroachers had started construction work on Sunday taking the advantage of holiday and despite warning them to refrain from encroachment on the JDA land by the enforcement wing, they were bent upon to carry on the same.
The enforcement wing comprising of Tehsildar JDA Zone (A) Prabh Dayal Sharma, Khilafwarzi Officer JDA Narinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Varinder Singh, Patwari Ravi and field staff removed the encroachment and also re-installed the JDA Board.
Police team from Janipur Police Station headed by SHO Niaz-ul-Hassan Malik provided police assistance under the supervision of SP North Yougal Manhas and SSP Jammu Atul Goel.
