JDA retrieves land from encroachers

JAMMU, Nov 29: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today retrieved 2.5 kanal of land valuing more than Rs 3 crore from the encroachers at village Paloura, Roop Nagar.
A team headed by Director Land Management, JDA comprising Tehsildar Zone-A, Prabh Dayal Sharma, Khillafwarzi Officer Narinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar, Girdawar and field staff of JDA carried out the demolition operation and removed the concrete plinths filled by the encroachers.
The encroachment was removed with the help of Police Station Janipura led by Sub Inspector Rahul Mahajan under the supervision of SP North Yougal Manhas.
A FIR also stands registered against the encroacher Perhlad Singh in Police Station for encroaching JDA land and disposing it off to private parties.
Meanwhile at Roop Nagar Sector 8, JDA team stopped the work as some people who are encroaching JDA land by cutting slop during odd hours.
