JDC extends support to PDP

JAMMU, Dec 12: An extra-ordinary meeting of Jammu Development Council, Jammu was held under the chairmanship of K L Abrol, president of the Council wherein they announced to support for People’s Democratic Party in Assembly election, today.
During the meeting it was observed that Jammu district especially old City has been completely neglected by the previous regime, so much the old City is in utmost bad condition which includes Mubarak Mandi Complex.
The meeting was addressed by K L Abrol, president who said that during the regime of UPA Government representations were made before the then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh through memorandums wherein appeal was made for development of old City, Jammu, implementation of old City project, Tawi project connecting artificial lake with Nagrota, development of roads and bringing the Jammu on the map of tourism of India.
In his address the leader said that Jammu Development Council through its representations and memorandums before the NC-Congress Coalition Government appealed the leaders, espacilally the elected MLAs from the Jammu provoince, but no heed has been given to the cause of Jammuites of old City.
The president while addressing said that a ray of hope has risen in the minds of the jammuites after Mufti Mohd Sayeed, PDP, patron has assured that full attention shall be given for the development of Jammu City especially old City in which all the pending demand shall be fulfilled after PDP will take the reigns of the Government.
The meeting was attended by Subash Adrol, Ashok Kumar Nischal, Nischal Anand, Naveen Nischal, Rajan Sharma, Balwinder Singh Bhatia, Dharam Pal Dogra, S Jagjit, Rakesh Kumar, Parveen Anand, K L Saraf, Kuldeep Anand and others.
