SRINAGAR, Feb 26: Joint Director, Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Kashmir, Haris Ahmad Handoo today convened a meeting of officers to reviewed the functioning of the department.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Deputy Director (PR), Shakeela Shawal, Assistant Director (AV), Muhammed Aslam Khan, Assistant Director (Advt) Javaid Ahamd, Districts Information Officers and other concerned.
Addressing the maiden meeting after assuming the charge, the Joint Director said that the core of the department is to be a bridge between masses and the administration and asked the concerned to be instrumental in gathering feedback from the ground level to make the grievances redressal mechanism more potent.
The meeting discussed various issues pertaining to District Information Centers, Public Relations and Advertisement Wings of the department including providing adequate staff, equipment, convening of Department Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting and other related matters.
He said that each district will be provided funds for purchase of equipment and clearance of liabilities. He assured the officer that their issues will be resolved in phases.
