JAMMU, May 2: Janta Dal (Secular) has demanded opening of AIIMS at Jammu as also other people oriented demands, here today.
Addressing a press conference, Mast Nath Yogi, president, Janta Dal (Secular) demanded for opening of AIIMS at Jammu, and added that AIIMS would provide convenient, competent medical cover to the people of not only Jammu and Kashmir but Punjab and Himachal as well. He said that IIT Jammu be opened within vicinity of Jammu city without further delay during the current session, so that students do not suffer.
Yogi said that over 60000 casual, contractual, adhoc and consolidate salaried employees have not be regularized even after decades, as a result their career have been spoiled. The issue of SPOs who are rendering most valuable service may be resolved on priority, he stressed.
Janta Dal Secular has demanded that Sudh-Mahadev- Doda road may be taken in hand immediately as it is alternate and will reduce the distance. Basohli road may also be opened for general public for transportation. They also stressed for widening of Jammu-Akhnoor road to reduce congestion.
The party has demanded stern action against anti-national elements for hoisting Pak flag in Tral and other places.
