Jeera declines on sluggish demand

NEW DELHI, Dec 29: Jeera prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Besides, favourable weather conditions in producing state Gujarat, supporting sowing also put pressure on the jeera prices.
Jeera common and jeera best quality declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 14,500-14,700 and Rs 17,500-18,000 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks, mainly pulled down jeera prices in the wholesale kirana market here.

Ajwain 10,000-15,000, black pepper (per kg) 405-540, betelnut (kg) 160-195, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 800-900, and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 950-1,050.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 730-860, cardamom (colour robin) 720-870, cardamom bold 730-830, cardamom extra (bold) 940-1,050 and cloves (kg) 600-670.
