Jennifer Hudson crashes same-sex wedding in Texas

LOS ANGELES, July 11:  Singer-actress Jennifer Hudson recently gatecrashed a same-sex wedding.
The 33-year-old “Spotlight” hitmaker surprised the same-sex couple with a special performance at their wedding at a hotel in Texas, reported People magazine.
“I’m very connected to the gay community, and it’s something I’m passionate about. It only makes sense. This is my way of returning it,” Hudson said.
Last year, the Grammy Award-winning singer partnered with an international hotel chain and the Human Rights Campaign to support LGBT marriage equality through their Turn It Up For Change program.
In a show of support for the campaign, the singer decided to crash the lucky couple’s wedding. After the vows were exchanges in front of family and friends, she came out from behind a curtain and sang her hit number, “I Still Love You,” leaving both the grooms and the families elated.
The surprise performance came after the landmark decision last month by the Supreme Court to legalise gay marriage in all 50 states of US. (PTI)
