JIF for imposition of 3-week lock down

JAMMU, Sept 18: Jammu Intellectual Forum (JIF) has strongly urged the Lt Governor of JK UT, Manoj Sinha to impose three-week strict lockdown in J&K with immediate effect as the COVID-19 has crossed the alarming stage and it is necessary to save the precious lives otherwise the situation will go out of hand and administration will be blamed for it.
In a statement JIF general secretary, Dalip Kumar Thaker said that the cases of Corona Virus are multiplying daily and the death rate is also increasing day by day but the administration seems to be in hibernation. He said that the administration must take action accordingly. He said the people are scared about the pandemic and it is the right time to impose a strict lockdown in the UT to save the people.
Expressing the concern over the worsening condition of hospitals in the UT, he said that there is not iota of space in the hospitals as they are already over burdened and mismanaged. He said that supply of oxygen is also short in the hospitals and the Government is having only alternative to impose the strict lockdown.
