In addition, Singh said recruitment rallies and camps for paramilitary forces would start soon in the area and a formal request for this had already been submitted to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
This would also help in addressing unemployment among the youth, he added.
Earlier, Singh held a meeting with the officials of district administration in which, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Javed Khan, DIG Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, SSP Sanjay Kotwal, senior officers as well as representatives of civil society were present among others.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner briefed Singh about the various rescue and relief measures taken after the recent flash floods and heavy rains.
The Minister assured that there was no dearth of supply of relief material or funds from the Centre, but in order to make distribution objective and judicious, he advised the Deputy Commissioner to involve representatives from all sections of civil society and political parties, so that the distribution was not only fair, but also appear to be fair.
Appreciating the cooperation by civil society to Kishtwar district administration, Singh said what actually required was bridging the trust deficit, so that no section of society feels discriminated against.
