Jammu, June 29: As a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Sangh Parivar programmes commemorating Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee countrywide fortnight from 23rd June to 6th July , Dr Jitendra Singh , BJP National Executive Member & J&K Chief Spokesperson , arrived in Bangalore today to deliver a series of lectures on recently released Kashmir Interlocutors’ report and address seminars and workshops on Jammu & Kashmir related subjects in the South Indian metro cities of Bangalore ,Chennai and Hyderabad.
Beginning from the Karnataka capital Bangalore, Dr Jitendra Singh is also scheduled to visit the Andhra Pradesh capital Hyderabad and the Tamil Nadu capital Chennai where he will, accompanied by other noted intellectuals and ideologues , interact with writers, newspaper editors and opinion-makers of these three largest States from South India and seek to set the record straight and clear several wrong notions as well as disinformation about Jammu & Kashmir being spread by vested elements.
Besides the Interlocutors’ report, the other specific topics likely to be listed for discussion in different sessions of the workshops being held at Bangalore ,Hyderabad and Chennai will include Accession of J&K with India, Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK),Gilgit Baltistan, regional discrimination within J&K , Article 370, Refugees and displaced persons, terrorism and separatist politics etc.
Dr Jitendra Singh’s lecture tour has evoked considerable enthusiasm among the intelligentsia in the three South Indian capital cities. The invitation letters mention his name as the principle Speaker at all the functions and profile reference describes him as an eminent Professor of Diabetes and an uncompromising nationalist intellectual on account of which he is among the few who were denied the visa to travel to USA.
Pertinent to mention that beginning from 23rd June, the martyrdom day of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee,the BJP and its organizational outfits are currently engaged in an aggressive campaign on Jammu & Kashmir throughout the country and the campaign will conclude on 6th July which happens to be the birth anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
