JAMMU, Feb 26: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today released a book of an established poetess Sudha Jain Anjum in a function held at KL Saigal hall here.
The English book entitled “Body, Mind and Soul” comprising of English poetry was released by the Anjali Sharma, Incharge Director, Doordarshan Jammu.
After the release of the book, the writer Sudha Jain Anjum shared her experience with the writer’s fraternity presented over there.
Anjali Sharma said that the book released at this platform will prove fruitful for the writer’s community.
This event was followed by a Mahila Multi-Lingual Mushaira, which was presided over by Prof Rita Jatindra.
Earlier, special secretary of the academy Savita Bakshi presented the welcome address and highlighted the academy programmes and policies being undertaken.
Ashok Gupta, Editor Dogri was overall incharge of the programme. The proceedings were conducted by Popinder Singh, Editor Punjabi and vote of thanks was presented by Azra Choudhary, Editor Hindi.
Among others present were Dr Usha Vyas, Dr Chanchal Sharma, Usha Kiran, Dr Aruna Sharma, Sonia Upadhyaya, Sunita Bhadwal, Amarjeet Kour, Avtar Kour, etc.
