J&K adds 33 fresh COVID cases

JAMMU, May 4: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 33 fresh COVID-19 positive cases, 17 from Jammu division and 16 from Kashmir valley.
The maximum number of 14 cases were reported from Jammu district, followed by 6 from Baramulla, 3 from Shopian, 2 each from Udhampur, Srinagar and Kulgam, and 1 case each from Doda, Budgam, Kupwara and Ganderbal districts.
According to the reports, a total of 2,694 COVID tests were conducted in the Union Territory in last 24 hours. The number of active COVID cases in the UT as on date is 241– 152 in Jammu division and 89 in Kashmir region whereas 49 COVID patients recovered today, 27 from Jammu division and 22 from Kashmir.
The highest number of 111 active cases are in Jammu district, followed by 28 in Baramulla, 13 in Doda, 12 each in Budgam and Ganderbal, 11 in Shopian, 10 cases each in Udhampur and Samba districts, 7 in Bandipora, 5 each in Srinagar and Ramban, 4 cases each in Anantnag, Pulwama and Kulgam, 2 each in Kupwara and Kathua, and 1 case in Rajouri district.
