J&K all set for political change: Darakshan

JAMMU, Oct 30: Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) leader Darakshan Andrabi today said that Jammu and Kashmir State was all set for a major political change.
Addressing a press conference on the joining of senior DPN leader, Engineer Ghulam Hassan here today, Dr Darakshan said that people of the State have been disappointed and feeling dejected with the ongoing political system provided by the ruling parties. She said the people have made up their mind to go for a change and give some surprises in the coming elections.
The SDP leader alleged that most of the legislators have failed to look after their constituencies properly and take care of their people. The funds provided under constituency development have not been properly utilized. Majority of the politicians are involved in hate game and exploiting people for the vested interests. Strong anger was prevailing among the people of the State. Dr Andrabi claimed that she has joined politics just to serve the people and she would continue her mission.
While welcoming Engineer Ghulam Hassan hailing from Lar area of Ganderbal district in the SDP fold, she hoped that he would work for strengthening the party in his area. She also welcomed his team members for joining SDP and lauded their decision. She claimed that some more people are joining SDP and the party is emerging as great political force in the State. State general secretary Ajay Kumar Sharma, State youth leader Gursagar Singh, Sanjay Manhas and Kamaljit were also present.
