JAMMU, Dec 6: Conde Nast Traveller India, announced the winners of the second edition of the Readers’ Travel Awards at the Oberoi, Gurgaon. The award ceremony was attended by some of the most eminent names in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries such as Nasir Aslam Wani, Minister of State for Tourism and Home, Jammu and Kashmir, Parvez Dewan, Secretary Tourism, Government of India, Amitabh Kant-CEO & MD of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation, Pisan Man awapat, Ambassador of Thailand to India, Jan Hendrson, High Commissioner of New Zealand in India and other dignitaries.
The introduction of special set of awards, the Excellence Awards with categories “Taking Brand India Global”, Regnerating Tourism’ and Promoting Cultural Tourism’ achievers in the field who have made a significant contribution to the travel industry and helped but Indian on the global travel map.
Conde Nast Traveller Readers Travel Awards have been created with the objective of recognizing and honouring the best in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry as chosen by the discerning and influential readers of Conde Nast Traveller.
Jammu and Kashmir won the excellence award in Regenerating Tourism. The Award was received by Nasir Aslam Wani.
