J&K Bank asked to reduce interest rate for industrial sector

Srinagar, Nov 20: Kashmir Economic Alliance has appealed to the JK Bank to consider reduction in interest rate against rating grades fetched by the borrower across various sectors like, transport, horticulture, tourism, trade and industry.
In a handout, the KEA said it held a meeting with Executive president JK Bank Abdul Hamid Banday at the bank’s Corporate Headquarters here.
The statement claimed that Banday assured the members that bank will undertake the analysis of existing interest rate structure and will explore the possibilities of considering the reduction in the Rate of Interest charged by the bank very soon.
Those from KEA included Mohammad Iqbal Tramboo, vice chairman, Siraj Ahmad chief spokesperson, Bashir Ahmad Bashir, president New Kashmir Fruit Association Mohammad Yusuf, chairman, Kashmir Mini Bus Federation and Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, vice president Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation.
