JAMMU, Oct 1: J&K Bank celebrated its 80th anniversary today across the country. The bank was founded on October 1, 1938.
In Jammu Division, the main function was held at Jammu in presence of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, IGP Jammu, Dr SD Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, president, Jammu Chamber, Rakesh Gupta, Surinder Gupta (president, Raghunath Bazar Association) and Bank’s Vice Presidents Vinod Sharma & Sudhir Gupta.
All staff members of the bank in Jammu Division held grand promotional rallies in their respective areas sensitizing the customers of the various products and services of the Bank. The largest awareness rally passed through the prominent business areas of the city and culminated at the Raghu Nath Bazar Chowk where it was received by the Business Associations in presence of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Addressing the media and the gathering of Bank officials, Sanjeev Verma Divisional Commissioner Jammu said, “J&K Bank is a household name in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and is not only positively impacting the economic lives of the general public and the business community but is also at the forefront in fulfilling its role as a responsible Corporate Citizen”.
To mark the foundation day celebrations of J&K Bank, the deputed staff of the Bank conducted a rally at Head Office, J&K Grameen Bank in presence of the top management including Chairman JKGB, Janak Raj Angural and General Manager Romesh Vaid. During the event, the management and the deputed staff took an oath to uphold the spirit of service with integrity and dedication to offer the highest quality financial solutions to the clientele.
To celebrate the occasion, the Bank’s Patel Nagar branch in Kathua district took out an awareness rally, which started from Patel Nagar and after passing through various part of the city concluded at Shahidi Chowk, Kathua. The staff of the branch led by Branch Manager Amrish Slathia joined the celebration rally.
On the eve of its 80th anniversary, J&K Bank organized an awareness rally in Bhaderwah. The rally was taken out from Bhadarwah branch of the Bank at 5 PM. After passing through Takiya Chowk, Seri Bazaar, Pasri Bus Stand, Kotli, Udrana, Chobia Link Road, Radio Station, Ganpat Bazar and Sartingal, the rally culminated at Bhadarwah University Campus. The employees of JK Bank branch Udrana and Sartingal also participated in the rally.
