J&K Bank hands over insurance cheques to kin of deceased

SRINAGAR, Dec 20: J&K Bank gave two insurance cheques amounting to Rs 20 lakh and Rs 10 lakh to the families of its two deceased employees who passed away due to serious ailments during their active service.
The Bank also at Jammu handed over the claim cheque of Rs 15 lakh to the spouse of its customer Irshad Ahmed who had died in an accident while driving his vehicle.
The Bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (Central I) Syed Rais Maqbool at Srinagar handed over the two cheques to the spouses of the deceased at the Bank’s Zonal Office. Highlighting the need to maintain the well being of employees and their families, the Zonal Head said that in order to keep the dependents of deceased employees insulated against financial insecurities, J&K Bank comprehensively covers all its employees under Term Life and Accidental Insurance policies.
The deceased employees, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat (Senior Executive) and Shakeel Ahmad Pandit (Banking Attendant), were covered under the Group Insurance Policy for the Bank’s staff.
Meanwhile, Bank’s Zonal Head Jammu (North I) Vibhakar Khajuria along with Cluster Head (Doda), officials of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited and other bank officers while presenting the insurance claim cheque to the spouse of the deceased customer said that J&K Bank always ensures that all registered and eligible claims are settled expeditiously.
