“J&K Bank health for all” initiative reaches Billawar

Srinagar, June 7: J&K Bank today organized a free medical camp at village Deholi (Billawar), District Kathua. The camp was held in collaboration with renowned doctors from Government Medical College Jammu besides active support from staff of BMO Billawar. The camp was part of “Health for all” series launched by the bank as part of Platinum Jubilee initiatives.
Dr. Vikas Gupta, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Billawar and Arvind Gupta, Bank’s Vice President & Zonal Head Jammu Central jointly inaugurated the camp. Others present on the occasion included Suresh Kotwal, Bank’s Cluster Head for Kathua, patients, senior citizen, retired and serving employees of the Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta reiterated the commitment of the Bank towards empowering growth and all-round development of the people of the State. He conveyed that under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives bank will always be at the forefront of taking philanthropic initiatives aimed at ameliorating the sufferings of the poor. On the occasion, free medicines were provided to the patients visiting the medical camp.
A team of consultant specialists provided the free medical check-up, counseling and consultations to more than 400 patients who came from far off places. The senior consultants from Government Medical College Jammu included the renowned physician Dr. Dushyant Chowdhary, Ophthalmologist Dr. R.K. Mengi, Orthopedician Dr. Harish Dang, General Surgeon Dr. Sourabh & Dr. Amit and Gynecologist Dr. Nischita Bhagat.
Notably, under Platinum Jubilee Initiative, the Bank will be organizing a similar camp in Banni (District Kathua) in near future.
