J&K Bank holds awareness camp, concludes training progs

SRINAGAR, Nov 24: J&K Bank conducted a mega awareness camp wherein the participating people were made aware about various schemes with regard to financial inclusion, especially under Pradhan Mantri Jhan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY).
The camp was organized by the bank’s Gund Hassi Bhat Business Unit at Lawaypora in collaboration with Cluster II (Kashmir) and Lead District office, Srinagar.
Speaker educated the participants in detail about  benefits of the scheme and the advantages of having relationship with the banks through opening of a mere account.
Meanwhile, the bank’s RESTI Anantnag held a valedictory ceremony at the Institute while concluding a training programme in Chain Stitch for a batch of 26 skilled candidates. The candidates were imparted training and skills under the said craft for 15 working days which aims at developing the capacity of these candidates through the RSETI devised course module.
Assistant Director Handicrafts, Anantnag Bashir Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion. He  distributed Certificates of Participation and Artisan Registration Cards among the trainees present at the function.
Director RSETI highlighted the importance of self employment and the opportunities available through Institutes like that of RSETIs.
On this occasion AD Handicrafts explained to participants the facilities and assistance available at the department suggesting that the marketing facilities should also be provided to the entrepreneurs.
In J&K Bank RSETI Ganderbal, 30 female trainees from far flung area of Wangath, Kangan were credit linked with the banks for establishment of their businesses. Director RSETI Altaf Mir disbursed Rs 6.76 lakh among the beneficiaries in presence of Cluster Head (III) Ganderbal and Head B.U Wangath.
The camp was also attended by members of local community. The Credit linkage camp was organized to fulfill RSETI’s commitment with the trainees for providing credit facilities to establish their business besides exhibiting bank’s commitment towards weaker sections of the society.
The trainees received soft termed and collateral free loans under DRI Scheme.
