JAMMU, Sept 5: J&K Bank held its second training-cum-counselling session for entrepreneurs under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative at its Zonal Office in Jammu. The event, presided over by General Manager & Divisional Head (Jammu) Sunit Kumar, drew active participation from local entrepreneurs representing a diverse range of products.
Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade (Jammu), A K Bhushan (ITS), was invited to provide valuable insights into the procedures and precautions for starting an export business. Addressing the attendees, GM Sunit Kumar emphasized the synergy between the ODOP scheme and the Bank’s commitment to fostering local talent for global competitiveness. He remarked, “Our Bank is dedicated to equipping you with the necessary knowledge and resources to excel in international markets.”
Assistant General Manager Suhail Ahmad Lone elaborated on the Bank’s export credit offerings and the importance of ECGC’s risk coverage in securing export ventures. The session also featured an interactive Q&A segment, where entrepreneurs had the opportunity to address specific queries. Participants expressed their appreciation for the Bank’s support in advancing local businesses.
