J&K Bank inaugurates ATM, convenes DLRC meet

SRINAGAR, Jan 1: J&K Bank inaugurated an ATM at the district office in Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
District Development Commissioner Bandipora Dr Shah Faisal inaugurated the ATM in presence of ADC Bandipora Nazir Ahmad Baba, Bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (North) MS Kaboo, Cluster Head (II) North, Head BU T P Bandipora, Director RSETI Bandipora, LDM Bandipora, Facilitator FLCC Bandipora and other district officers.
Zonal Head MS Kaboo assured that the Bank will leave no stone unturned to provide the best services to the general public.
Meanwhile, the Bank convened 50th District Level Review Committee meeting of district Budgam, which was chaired by Additional DDC Budgam Mohd Hussain. Chief Planning Officer Budgam, representatives from RBI, NABARD, Bank Coordinators and Representatives from Line Departments participated in the meeting.
The Bank’s Lead District Manager Budgam, Shahzad Hussain briefed the House about the achievements made by banks besides holding awareness camps opening of accounts under PMJDY scheme in the District.
Apart from this, the Bank’s Rural Self Employment and Training Institute (RSETI) Rajouri wrapped up its General Entrepreneurship Development Programme for its 24th batch of trainees selected by KVIB, Rajouri.
Speaking on the occasion, the Bank’s LDM Rajouri Anoop Bhat informed the trainees about the different schemes launched by State Government for the betterment of rural youths especially for minority and women.
He advised the Director RSETI to help the trainees to open their accounts in banks and also to constitute the Self Help Groups among them.
Meanwhile, the Bank conducted financial literacy camp at Ghordi, a remotest village of Udhampur and camp-cum-Coin exchange mela at Majalta, Udhampur.
At Ghordi, the bank’s Cluster Head Iqbal Singh addressed the gathering and highlighted the initiative of the bank.
In Majalta, 1332 pieces of soiled and mutilated currency notes were exchanged and coins of different denominations were also distributed.
