JAMMU, Sept 19 The General Council elections of All India Jammu & Kashmir Bank Officers’ Federation (AIJKBOF) were conducted here today under the convener ship of Mahinder Singh Samyal. The delegates from Kashmir, Jammu, Punjab and Delhi units of the Federation attended the meeting.
The elections were conducted democratically as per laid down provisions of the Constitution of the Federation. Suresh Gupta of RCC Jammu was elected as president, Prabhat Singh Jamwal of B/U Bantalab, Farooq Ahmed Geeri, of B/U SSI Sadiqabad, Pawan Abrol of B/U DLF Gurgaon and Ejaz Ayub of Corporate Headquarter were elected as vice presidents.
Syed Jameel Qadri of B/U B B Cantt was elected as general secretary, Johan Mohammed Sofi of B/U T P Sopore, Anil Singh Samyal of B/U Salhar, Syed Itrrat Hussain of B/U Zakir Nagar, D K Bali of B/U Chowk Chabutra, Imtiyaz Ahmed Wani of B/U Lasjan, Sardar Tejinder Sing Reen of B/U Old Secretariat, Jammu were elected as secretaries.
Adarsh Anand of B/U Chidwal was elected as organizing secretary and Muneer Ahmed Ganaie of LBO Baramulla was elected as treasurer.
In addition to the election of above office bearers of AIJKBOF, 32 Central Committee members were also nominated for smooth functioning of the Federation.
The Federation while discussing various issues particularly the latest developments concerning the Trade Union activities of the organization, expressed its dismay and displeasure over the anti institutional activities of Riyaz Ahmad Bhat. The AIJKBOF condemns such unwarranted and unconstitutional acts ofMr Bhat, tarnishing the image of the officers’ fraternity in particular and the organization in general.
The Federation reiterated its displeasure and admonishes such unpleasant, bizarre, and unpalatable activities of such elements and expressed its resolve to work cohesively with resolute commitment to strive for the excellence and betterment of our cherished organization in a desired manner.
