SRINAGAR, Apr 15: J&K Bank has opened an ATM at Naidyar Business Unit (BU) to alleviate the rush and avoid gatherings at the branch in its effort to help mitigate the risk of spread of COVID-19 infection.
People of the catchment area can now withdraw cash at the financial touch-point after following Government directives and the mandated social distancing norms regarding containment of the highly contagious virus.
“As per the instructions of our Chairman and MD, we have made the ATM operational so that large gatherings at the BU are avoided and the people of the area are not put to risk. People can use the ATM for withdrawing money at their ease after maintaining proper social distancing and taking all precautions like using hand sanitizers etc to safeguard themselves against the virus,” Zonal Head Kashmir (Central I), Syed Rais Maqbool said post-inauguration of the ATM. He was accompanied by Cluster Head, Shabir Ahmad Bhat and Head Business Unit Naidyar, Muzaffar Ahmad.
Speaking on behalf of the people of the area, Haji Nazir Ahmad hailed the bank’s efforts to provide relief to the customers.
