J&K Bank organises health, blood donation camps

SRINAGAR, June 24: J&K Bank organised one-day health camp at Gund, Kangan and blood donation camp at district Udhampur.
OP Sharma, Bank’s executive president inaugurated the health camp in presence of Abdul Hamid Khan, Bank’s Cluster Head for Ganderbal at Gund.
While speaking, Sharma urged the people to take full advantage of the camp.
The camp was organized in collaboration with SKIMS, Soura, in which around 300 patients were examined and treated by a group of specialist doctors from SKIMS. The team of specialists from SKIMS included Dr GN Yattoo reputed gastroentrologist and Dr Mohammad Sultan, renowned Cardiologist.
Meanwhile, a blood donation camp was held in collaboration with District Hospital, Udhampur, in which more than 30 employees of the bank donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chander Parkash informed the gathering that June-2013 is being celebrated as the World Blood Donor Month.
Bank’s Cluster Head for Udhampur, Iqbal Singh described the initiative as a reflection of Bank’s sense of commitment to public. He shared with the gathering the other initiatives taken by the J &K bank as part of its platinum jubilee celebrations.
“J&K Bank has decided to open an ATM in the premises of district hospital shortly. Besides, we are planning to open four new branches and four new ATMs in Udhampur district in the coming weeks”, he added.
