JK Bank organizes customers meet at Kud

UDHAMPUR, May 30: A customers meet was organized today by J&K Bank here at Kud in which customers of Batote, Chenani, Kud, Udhampur Main, Shiv Nagar business units of the Bank along with prominent people of the area participated.
R K Chhibber, president (Vigilance) of J&K Bank presided over the meeting in the presence of Zonal Head-Doda and vice-president, Javed Ahmad Bhat and Iqbal Singh, Cluster Head, Udhampur/Ramban.
In his welcome address, Javed Ahmad Bhat congratulated the people of Kud on opening of Bank’s new business unit at Kud. He said the bank is committed to take care of banking needs of the people and to fulfill these Bank is planning to open more branches in the unbanked areas.
Chhibber shared with the gathering that J&K Bank is always at their doorsteps in providing world-class banking facilities and opening of new branch at Kud is a step in that direction. He also apprised the audience about the various services and products of the bank.
On behalf of customers, Shanker Singh, a prominent social activist of Chenani, Azad Ahmad Bhat, Manik Gupta, Mohan Lal Gupta and Harbajan Singh spoke and also put forth some suggestions like providing more staff to Bank’s branches at Chenani and Batote, opening of new branches in areas like Bashat, Pattangarh, to keep ATM at Chenani operational for 24 hours and opening of new ATMs at Narsoo and Patnitop.
Chhibber assured the customers that the matter relating to opening of ATMs at Narsoo and Patnitop, operation of Chenani ATM for 24 hours shall be taken care of at the appropriate level at Corporate Headquarters.
Regarding opening of new branches, he shared with the audience that bank has already started the process and he is very hopeful that 2-3 branches shall be opened in Chenani block within a year.
