RAJOURI, Dec 22:  The Jammu and Kashmir Bank has provided Solar power to 25  schools, mostly located in far flung areas of Rajouri district.
Official sources said that Chief Education Officer Rajouri, Ch Altaf Hussain took this initiative and requested the  incharge Corporate Social Responsibility Department, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Rajouri for provision of Solar power in 50 schools located in far flung areas.
The J&K Bank responded positively and placed orders for installation of Solar power in 25 schools in first phase. Each power plant in these 25 schools,  was comprised on one  KW Solar Power with accessories-  Solar UPS Inverter (24 VDS),  Solar Modules (1000 KWP),  two batteries (100 AH), mounting structure (Complete set) and cables.    An amount of  Rs 1,03,000 is being spent on each school. The private company engaged at work has installed panels in 15 schools whereas the work in others is in progress.
After installation of Solar power the problem of power supply in far flung areas shall be solved and students of these schools shall take benefit of computer education, the CEO said.
HS Udhan Khawas, HS Gundah, HS Kanthol, HS Saddah, HS Narla, HS Badhal, HS Gabber, HS Hattain Seri, HS Challas, HS Androoth, HS Baghla, HS Ranthal are some of far flung schools among 25, which are covered to provide Solar power.
