SRINAGAR, Mar 22: On the occasion of Navratras, J&K Bank today established a special counter at its Business unit at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan (SMVDB) to offer fresh cash currency and note exchange facility to the devotees visiting the famous Shrine.
CEO SMVDSB Anshul Garg, and Bank’s Executive Director, Sudhir Gupta inaugurated the fresh cash/note exchange counter in presence of Zonal Head (Udhampur) Rajesh Gupta, SDM (Bhawan) Sudhir Bali, Tehsildar Anil Charak, Manager Bhawan Pardeep Jamwal, DSP Bhisham Dubey, Head Pandit- Gopal Sharma, Branch Manager Vishal Sharma and other officers of the Bank besides devotees from different corners of the country.
Speaking on the occasion CEO, Garg lauded the efforts of J&K Bank in conducting such programs for the pilgrims and also for providing all banking services to SMVD Board and its employees. He also appreciated the bank’s role in providing latest banking services all along the route for the pilgrims.
Earlier, while welcoming the dignitaries Executive Director Sudhir Gupta thanked the Shrine Board for its continuous patronage and support to the bank and assured of best services to the SMVD Board, devotees and public at large.
“Functioning at the Bhawan since the constitution of the SMVD Board, our branch remains dedicated to serve the Shrine Board, business establishments at the Bhawan and people working here besides all the devotees visiting the famous shrine. A team of dedicated officials has also been placed for full time assistance to the board for management of cash that is received as public offering at the shrine”, Gupta said, adding that the bank has established three branches and installed nine ATMs from Katra to the Bhawan to provide easily accessible banking services to the devotees visiting the shrine from different parts of the country besides facilitating fresh cash and exchange of notes on special occasions like Navratra.
